In 2025, we opened Horti Bistrot, a place that is not just a restaurant, but a space for growth and new opportunities. Every day, people with disabilities and prisoners benefiting from Article 21 participate in a training course for waiters and waitresses.

Here they learn about service, mise en place and professional skills, but above all they regain self-confidence and build their future. All this is possible thanks to work grants, which are essential tools for ensuring a real, dignified and supported path to integration.

With concrete support, our young people have the opportunity to test themselves, train and start afresh. Supporting a work grant means offering a chance for independence, inclusion and redemption. You too can make a difference: support a work grant, support the future of Rebecca and Adil.

FROM MAY 9TH, EVERY SATURDAY AT 10:15 AM

The “Chair of Hope” returns on 29 May with Lama Michel Rinpoche, who was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and has been recognised by Lama Gangchen Rinpoche and many other great masters as a “tulku”, the reincarnation of a Tibetan Buddhist master.

At the age of twelve, Lama Michel spontaneously decided to embark on a monastic life in southern India, where he studied and learnt the fundamentals of Buddhist philosophy. He has been living in Italy since 2004 and gives valuable teachings at the Kunpen Lama Gangchen Centre.

Lama Rinpoche will be in conversation with Mauro Querci, a journalist. Free participation through booking. Download the flyer and sign up at the event.

29th MAY 6:00 PM

A Horti Book Club was created by our student collective. The reading group will meet every two months and, at each meeting, will discuss a book belonging to a different genre. In this first edition, entitled Sui generis, participants will embark on a veritable 'reader's journey', exploring literature through the nuances and peculiarities of the literary genres that comprise it.

The next meeting will be on the 12th June. The third book we will be discussing is "Persepolis" by Marjane Satrapi. For further information, please email bookclub@horti.it

Is your favourite jumper full of holes? Are your jeans torn or worn out? Marta Ricchiardi, known as Rapazebu, is a professional mender who teaches people how to mend (and do all sorts of other things with soft threads).

She has been featured on Radio Popolare and in Vanity Fair. In this workshop, lasting around two and a half hours, you’ll learn the basics of visible mending before getting stuck into mending your own beloved garments. We’ll discuss fibres, the properties of materials and stitches, as well as the stories behind the garments and the people who wore them. Bring along the item you want to mend and book your place at the link

Free entry with a compulsory sign up.
