Horti Aperti returns on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September. The theme of the fifth edition of the City Green Festival will be ‘Art and Craft. The intelligent garden, designed with passion and tended with care’. Alongside the exhibition and market dedicated to sustainable gardening, there will be a packed programme of talks, discussions, workshops and hands-on sessions. The cultural programme will complement the selection of the finest Italian nursery growers and producers, creating an immersive experience.
The open-air concert by the Almo Collegio Borromeo orchestra will also return, as will guided tours of the Collegio and Horti, exploring their history and art, with a focus on the gardens themselves. Our collaboration with the Feltrinelli Foundation will also continue: on Sunday 20th, we will host the second edition of L’isolachenonc’è, a day of readings, workshops and performances for children.
19-20 SEPTEMBER

As part of Horti Aperti, we will also be renewing our partnership with the Fondazione Feltrinelli: on Sunday 20 September, we will be hosting the second edition of L’isolachenonc’è, a fun and cultural programme dedicated to young children (aged 0 to 12) and families.
From 10:30 am, we will be hosting fairy tales, workshops, readings and a show, which will bring many stories to life, inspiring new ways of doing familiar things and imagining completely new ones.
Admission is free, subject to registration.
20-21 SEPTEMBER

Horti is an urban park open to all, where natural habitats, contemporary art, ethical commitment, equity and social inclusion intertwine.
The tagline The Sociart Garden encapsulates this vision: the convergence of social, art and garden – three dimensions that embody Horti’s values and give rise to experiences to be enjoyed and shared. We offer guided tours and theatre performances for children, teenagers and adults of all ages. From this year, the park’s educational services have been enhanced by our collaboration with Ambarabart, with whom we work to offer educational workshops and participatory activities for young children, as well as team-building activities for adults. VISIT THE PARK

In 2025, we opened Horti Bistrò, a place that is not just a restaurant, but a space for growth and new opportunities. Every day, people with disabilities and prisoners benefiting from Article 21 participate in a training course for waiters and waitresses.
Here they learn about service, mise en place and professional skills, but above all they regain self-confidence and build their future. All this is possible thanks to work grants, which are essential tools for ensuring a real, dignified and supported path to integration.
With concrete support, our young people have the opportunity to test themselves, train and start afresh. Supporting a work grant means offering a chance for independence, inclusion and redemption. You too can make a difference: support a work grant, support their future.
