Horti is has inaugurated new Bistrot, a place where you can find the smile of someone who has had the opportunity to start afresh.

A place of refreshment that fills not only the belly, but also the heart. Horti bistrot is hosting a training school for lounge and bar staff for people with disabilities and prisoners, who will learn the art of hospitality and service. The students will grow together in a process of mutual enrichment.

Support a work grant. You too can contribute and make Matteo and his companions feel very important. Each supporter will receive an exclusive invitation to the opening event of Horti Bistrot. 

Horti Summer Festival kicks off on Friday 20 June at 19:00 with a special event for the park, Horti Poetry Slam.

Several poets put themselves to the test, reciting their verses and competing against each other. The public participates in turn and is asked to evaluate each poem. Presented by Sam Kabauter and Francesca Pels.

The Big Dive Band arrives at the Horti, a heterogeneous musical ensemble whose members have the most diverse professions in life, but are united by a passion for music.

'Dive' is short for (bio)diversity, to emphasise the heterogeneity of the instrumentalists and the inclusion of musical talents that, for whatever reason, would struggle to fit into orchestras that are too “square”. ‘Dive’ is intended precisely to underline the challenge that animates this project, set up in 2008 and supported by the University of Pavia and Social Bistrot.

The Big Dive Band is directed by Tito Mangialajo Rantzer, the only professional musician in the group and a Conservatory lecturer. The event is open to all.

Horti in collaboration with Orto Sartoriale organizes for the first time an “upcycling workshop” to give new life to clothes. You can come empty-handed or bring clothes from home. Through mending, sewing and painting, we will help you transform second-hand clothes into a unique garment.

Horti, in collaboration with Galleria Canesso, has inaugurated the exhibition Horti Custos: The Custode dell’Orto within the Spazio Extra Art. 

The work, a very rare case of transposition into stone of the artistic spirit of the Milanese painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo (1526-1593), aims to highlight the profound bond between man and nature; the sculpture is the work of a Lombard artist whose identity is still shrouded in mystery. The temporary exhibition will be in continuous dialogue with the work of British artist David Tremlett, who already enriches the space.
